Happy St Patty's Day!! My favorite St Patty's day is the one I spent with Sarah, Renate and Emily.
None of us had been in South Boston for St Patty's day so we decided to get decked out in green, with hats and beads the whole nine yards. We head out early because we knew the bars will be filling up fast. We got off the T and head towards the strett of bars that we had googled previously, when we reach the bar no one is dressed up. I mean no one!
We look like crazy people dressed up in our green shirts, hats and beads. We finally get inside and found out people in Southie don't really get all decked out like the rest of Boston. opps! We ended up staying there for a little bit until we and then decided to go to another bar closer to our apt. Walking in it was completely dead inside, maybe a total of 15 people. Since we had been drinking most of the day we thought this was awesome! We ended up taking over the dance floor and dancing the night away just the 4 of us! It was the best St. Patty's day!
This St Patty's we had plans to meet up with a bunch of our friends at Four fields place. Our friends father plays the bag pipes for a Celtic group in the police department and they were playing there. We arrived a little early to secure a table up front.
When they arrived everyone went silent to hear them it was pretty amazing. Later on we learned that they travel all over the US playing for different events.
Later on in the evening Cart pointed out a really really talk dude standing over near the bar. All the guys at the table immediately started speculating which basketball player he was. Finally Alex and I decided to get up the courage and go and ask him if he is a basketball player/get out picture taken with him.
I don't remember who he was but he does play for the Celtics and just had open heart surgery not to long ago. He was crazy talk and super skinny, he must have been crouching down in this picture because the picture doesn't do his height justice. Towards the end of the evening we all decided to head out so we got the bill and OMG! This must be some kind of record!
Yup, that is 40 Guinness! Granite there was 7 of us and we were there from about 12pm until 9ish. But holy cow!
