Brendon's birthday and the Bruins!

Today is our friend's Brendon's birthday, remember I went to his wedding back in September. His wife Erin organized all of us getting together to go to a Bruins game for his bday. The tickets (which looked fancy) were a great deal and before the game came with free drinks and dinner at a local bar.

old Garden seats with a keg?

Naturally the food wasn't the healthiest or the best but it was free so I couldn't complain, especially since the food in the Garden is so expensive!
I had some baked pasta with a salad and some chicken fingers.

A few minutes before the game started we all headed in to take our seats. It was only my second Bruins game and they did not disappoint! Ohio was the first to score :( but the bruins came back to win the game!

My first Bruins game

John had tickets to go to the Bruins game tonight, I had never been to one before so he so kindly offered to take me, I was so excited to go! I enjoy watching hockey way better then basketball or baseball it's a much faster paced game. We didn't have time to grab dinner before hand so we decided to get roast beef sandwiches at the game. I had mine with some barbeque sauce and onions, it came with a side of chips and a pickle. (I completely forgot to take a picture) When we went to our seats there was a bunch of 4 and 5 year old hockey players sitting in them. So we had to scarf down our sandwiches while waiting for the game to start.

It started off with the Bruins getting a goal in the first few minutes!

In between the periods the little hockey players that took over our seats came out to play on the ice. They were the cutest things ever!

break away by the red team
The rest of the game was intense there was fighting, penalties and one of the players was hit in the face with the puck, ouch! The Bruins ended up winning 6 to 2! It was much better then watching it on TV you get to hear all the sounds you miss on TV but sadly no instant replays for the exciting moments.

Last Red Sox game of the season

John had tickets to go to the Red Sox game tonight, this was our last set of tickets for the season we went with our friends Jared and Jocelyn. On our way to the game the weather was not looking to promising, it looked as if the sky was about to open up at any time. We got down to Fenway and waited to see if the tarp was on the field before going in so we didn't have to wait through a rain delay.

There was no tarp so in we went took our seats then the rain came. It rain, rained some more, then the wind starting to pick up.

The rain started to die down a little so I decided to get some dinner I wasn't sure what I was in the mood for. Looking around I decided on a burrito (kind of weird that they have burrito's at a baseball game) and a beer. The burrito was ok it had shredded chicken, cheese, refried beans, rice, sour cream and salsa.

After dinner we were enjoying the game and then it started to rain again that's when we decided to leave. We made it through 7 innings and the Red Sox were losing 8 to 1 so we decided to watch the rest from the comforts and warmth of our apartment.
