Chee kufta |
There was lamb, rice pilaf, mushrooms, asparagus, Chee kufta (an Armenian meat dish- more on this dish tomorrow), salad and broccoli. For dessert we had leftover cupcakes.
After dinner is when the fun began. Leah came up with the idea to have an egg hunt, no ordinary egg hunt though one that included some eggs filled with money.
We volunteered John's parents to hide the eggs while us "kids" and uncle Bill and the grandmas sat in the living room waiting. Nana was caught peeking out the window trying to find where they hid the eggs!
Nana (we entered her for the twisted tee contest) she has to win with that shirt! |
I think we were all paranoid that Keith would find them all because he was the fastest in the group. Turns out to fast, he was darting around so fast that he only found 2 eggs!! Leah came in first with a whopping 16 eggs, then Nana with 8, John and myself with 6 and I don't remember how many Bill and Grammy had.
I won't mention names but I think someone is going to have to practice egg hunting for next year....
We all had a great time even though all of us didn't get money in our eggs we did get candy! Peanut butter cups! Mmmm that is almost as good as winning in my book, there my favorite. :) You know what goes good with peanut butter cups?
cheese!!! The sweet and salt combo is to die for!
