Melting Pot

I'm in love, this is the best meal I had in a very long time. John had purchased a coupon for the melting pot a while back and since it was a crappy snowy day and after our fiasco in the kitchen last night we decided to treat ourselves. Besides what goes better with a snowy day then a huge pot of melty cheese NOTHING!

When we arrived I think we were only 1 or 2 people in the whole place, so they gave us a cute romantic corner table.

We decided to go with the Big Night out menu it seemed like the best deal to get our bang for your buck or however that saying goes.

The first course was Sam Adam cheese which was some Sam Adam beer melted with cheese, garlic and some scallions. For dipping items we had granny smith apples, bread, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower. Normally I'm not a fan of broccoli and cauliflower but dipped in cheese it was amazing!

what was left, we hit this pretty hard
Next course was a wedge salad with blue cheese dressing, tomato and bacon. This was more up John's allly he loves this type of salad. I ate about half of  mine.

The main course was a burgundy broth with garlic, pepper scallions and mushrooms. sooo good. For dipping items we had steak, shrimp, pork and buffalo chicken. The pork and shrimp were my favorite and since John doesn't eat shrimp I got them all to myself. I thought the buffalo chicken would be a little weird but it was actually pretty good. We also got a side dish of veggies and 6 types of sauces!

By this time I was stuffed! I wasn't sure if I was going to make it to dessert, but I maned up. I let John pick dessert, we had smore chocolate with several amazing things to dip it in.

We did a pretty good job on dessert, I couldn't help myself.

Going home to put on pants that have an elastic waist. I told John I should have asked to borrow Leah's my soon to be sister in-laws pant expander thingy for tonight. :) (I'm going to be an Auntie!!! )

Night!
