Topsfield fair is the oldest fair in the country, I have yet to visit since living in Boston so I am excited to have a chance to experience it and celebrate Phil's b-day! Getting there seemed to be a chore in itself that traffic was backed up from the moment you exited the highway.
Once we arrived all my childhood memories came flooding back to me I Love fairs!!! The food, games, rides, contest, and of course the animals!

After all the fun was had, we headed back home to pack and head back out the door to drive the 3 hours to southern CT where we would be staying the night. We stopped for dinner of all places a Nordstrom diner! It was a pretty fancy place for a department store diner and they had cool salt and pepper shakers!
I ordered a veggie open face sandwich and John a turkey melt.
