Tasca- tapas resturant

After coming back from the beach and getting out of the sun (both John and I lets just say say ended up a little burnt) we decided to try a tapas restaurant in town for dinner. We knew exactly where this place was because we tried to go last night but it was closed and instead went to the amazing barbecue place. The restaurant sits on a huge hill which makes parking a little tricky but luckily they cleared out a small place across the street for a few cars to park.

When we were seated at our table our waiter came over to give us the spiel and take our drink orders, from the reviews on trip adviser we knew we had to try there house made sangria. They had so many different flavors besides just the red and white versions so we decided to go with the passion fruit flavor.  We were not disappointed!!

Next the waiter brought out an on the house appetizer which was cod cakes with 2 olives. They looked like really flat pieces of fried dough and not fish at all. For not being a huge fish fan they were actually pretty good!

Looking over the menu John and I actually were able to decided on our tapas a lot faster tonight then it took us last night. :)  The cool thing about the menu was that the tapas were divide between a Spanish and a Puerto Rican section so you could choose meals from either influence. We started off with I believe what was off the Spanish menu a type of pepper stuffed with shredded chicken and covered in a type of sauce and on the side a small salad.

Next we ordered the mahi mahi nuggets with an aioli sauce and again a small side salad. All the tapas dishes came with a small side salad so I won't mention it again. :) These were just ok, both John and I are not huge fish eaters but we thought we give these a try the sauce of course was really good but the nuggets were a little to fishy tasting for our likes.

The next thing that came out was the chorizo's in a type of sauce I don't remember these were really yummy.

The last dish we ordered was a lobster something or other. The something or other turned out to be some type of corn cake that the chopped lobster salad was sitting on top of. John actually chose to order this he thought he didn't like lobster but since trying mine at our last football Sunday dinner he is warming up to it!

Overall, the food was good, but not as good as last night's dinner and a great way to end my 30th birthday. We are now headed back to the resort to relax tomorrow we have a big day of hiking in the rainforest and then a bioluminescent bay kayak trip!!
