Today is our last day in Fajardo before we leave tomorrow to tour old San Juan and catching our flight home. :( We had no specific plans for today except for relaxing, we slept in until about 10 and decided to skip breakfast and wait to eat until lunch. John had picked out a place in the next town over that had really good reviews. On the way there I was not so sure I wanted to eat at this place, the town looked really really sketchy but the outside of the restaurant didn't look so bad so we decided to give it a try.
Walking in there was only one other couple there, we were greeted by the owner Louis who sat us and immediately brought out salad's and drinks. We asked Louis what his recommendation was and the couple seated next to us started in on how amazing the food was. Turns out they were also from Boston and come down to Puerto Rico often. We placed our orders for me the chicken in creole sauce and John ordered grilled pork chops. While we were waiting for our food the couple asked Louis to bring us the "house special" thinking this was going to be some type of food dish I was pretty excited. Louis brought out 5 shots, turns out it was homemade grain alcohol made from sugar cane that they make. It was AWFUL!! I was tasting it for hours afterwards!

After eating way to much we headed back to the resort to relax. John was trying to find another local place for our last meal in Fajardo. He decided on a bar in the marina that he read had good drinks and live music. Around 7 and me still full from lunch headed down to the marina. Walking up to the place it looked like a small place the locals hang out, it had a really cool atmosphere.
We started with drinks John ordered the house drink which tasted like a frozen alcoholic coffee and I ordered a frozen mojito. Turns out I liked Johns drink better and he liked mine so we switched. :)
For dinner John ordered 2 appetizers a corn bread fritter type thing and another corn bread thing but with cheese in the middle. (I bet you can't guess which one I liked better ;) )
I ordered a burger with barbecue sauce and bacon and John surprisingly ordered a steak with rice and beans. Both meals were good I was a little disappointed with my burger because they charred the outside but other then that everything was delicious. I really enjoyed everything I have eaten here, but I also think I gained 5 pounds!!

After dinner we hung around and listen to the band play while we had another drink. Tomorrow we are getting up early to drive to old San Juan and exploring before catching our plane home.
