Five Napkin & Red Sox

John had Red Sox tickets for Sunday evening for the Red Sox and Yankee game. I have never been a huge baseball fan but I always enjoyed going to the games but since dating John and him and his friends being huge sports fans I have learned more about baseball. Yankees and Red Sox are the games to go to they are rivals and this game imparticular was promised to be a good one since they are tied for 1st place, this game was determined who will take the lead. The game was an 8pm game (that I wasn't to thrilled about which meant we would be not getting home much for 1am) since we had just drive back from the lake house and I didn't have a chance to go grocery shopping yet we decided to eat out before the game. While waiting for to head down we were watching food network and a marathon of diners drive-ins and dives were on and it was a burger/bar-que theme, which gave me a hankering for a burger even though we had them the evening before. So I suggested we try 5 napkin a burger place by the prudential that we have been meaning to try for a while.

Walking in it the decor was a simple but upscale burger place, the restaurant was a open seating area with a bar on one side. We were seated at a cute booth for 2 at the back of the restaurant. After looking at the menu I decided the Italian turkey burger, you had to order sides separately so John and I shared a plate of Tuscan fries and pickles.

My burger was pretty good, the fires were just ok and the pickles I enjoyed but John didn't really care for them since they were bread and butter pickles.

After dinner we walked over to Fenway to catch the game. The first few innings went by fast then seemed to slow down a bit.

The red sox were in the lead until the 5th inning and then the Yankees tied it up and pulled ahead by a run in the 7th. It was the bottom of the 9th and we were sure that the red sox were going to lose but then Ortiz hit a double which again tied it up 2 to 2. The game went into extra inning  and it was 12am by this point. I was exhausted but John and I decided to stay since it was such an exciting game luckily the red sox held them off and ended up scoring a run winning the game!!!

To bed I go back to work tomorrow.
