G'vanni's

John texted me at work this afternoon to see if I wanted to go out to dinner tonight to use on of the many coupons we have. He decided on ... which is an Italian restaurant in the North End. We headed down a little early thinking maybe we could get in. Walking up to the restaurant there was already a line out the door I peeked inside the window and there were maybe 10 tables. The hostess told us we had to wait to get in so we decided to grab a drink at a bar next door until our reservation. At 7:30 we headed back to see if we could be seated and we ended up waiting for over an hour! I was not a happy camper by this time  I was starving and tired and our reservations were suppose to be for over an hour ago. Finally we were seated, we had a coupon for each of us to get 2 appetizers,  2 entrees and 2 desserts which I was so glad we had because looking at the menu this place was crazy expensive. The food better be good for the wait and the pricing!

To start our meal they gave us bread and dipping oil and for appetizers we ordered prosciutto wrapped fresh mozzarella and a sausage dish with tomatoes, both were good but I liked the mozzarella dish better.

For our entrees John ordered steak and I the pumpkin ravioli, which had the best reviews on yelp.

and for dessert we had creme brulee cheesecake and  a ice cream ball covered in chocolate, both of which were good.

Afterwards we were headed home and bumped into Timmy, Phil and Cart and decided to sit with them for a drink before heading back. Cart's drink compared to John's
