A day of Christmas gifts

The last day of the weekend :( we spent it cleaning, grocery shopping and doing laundry. For dinner we decided to use a Christmas gift we received a salt block.

A salt block is used to cook meats, veggies, fish really anything you want. All you have to do is heat it up in your oven when it reaches the correct temp you place the items your cooking on top. Then proceed to cook like normal. It gives the food a great taste, not to salty at all! For dinner we decided to use the other half of that huge chicken breast we had left over from this past week. John added a rub to it and cooked it on the block.

Added a little evoo to the block before putting the chicken on.

Finished product!

While John was in charge of the chicken I made salads and Parmesan couscous for sides. We cut the chicken down the middle and each had half.Don't let the picture fool you that thing was huge!

With dinner we also enjoyed another Christmas present.

And for dessert I made the other half of the creme burlee's, also another Christmas gift. It was a Christmas gift kind of dinner. :)  Thanks to our Leah, Keith and my family who gave us the gifts!!!! All was thoroughly enjoyed!
