Tryst

A while back we bought a living social deal for a 4 course tasting meal at the restraunt Tryst in Arlington. It expires next week so we decided to make reservations to use it tonight. From the outside Tryst looks like a fancy place but the dresscode was smart causal so jeans ans a nice shirt. Inside is wasn't very decorated not to much on the walls and the space was wide open with mostly high top tables.  They had a preset menu for the living social deal where you chose between 2 or 3 options for each course.

1st course choices- shrimp tacos or lacquered baby back ribs
I chose the tacos and John the ribs

2nd course choices- Iceberg wedge salad or roasted local beets and burrata salad
For her the beets and for him the wedge salad

3rd course choices- pig under a brick, rainbow trout, tagliatelle carbonara, slow roasted chicken
For her chicken for him pig under a brick

At this point I was so full so I only ate a little of the chicken and wrapped the rest to go because I had to leave room for dessert!

4th course choices- orange blossom panna cotta or fudge brownie sunday with peppermint ice cream
for her panna cotta for him brownie sunday

I never had peppermint ice cream so I gave it a try it was oh sooo amazing and my panna cotta with the rasberry sauce on the side was also amazing this is probably the best course of the meal.

We off to relax at home and watch Midnight in Paris
